Delicious, zesty chili served with Bingo games and a raffle with fantastic prizes will guarantee a great family Friday night at Carson Middle School in Carson City.
Carson Middle School Band program's annual Chili Bingo Night happens this Friday, Nov. 22, in the school's gym, 1140 West King Street.
Doors open at 5 p.m., chili tasting begins at 5:30 p.m., and bingo games start at 6 p.m. Proceeds from this fundraiser go to the CMS Band program, which is raising money for new music stands and uniforms, as well as provide financial assistance to ensure all students can participate in band, according to CMS Band Director Nick Jacques.
Band members are also raising money to help pay for their out-of-state competitions and trips in the Spring.
Admission is free with raffle tickets and bingo cards available for only $1. More than 45 local businesses have donated amazing prizes such as sightseeing flights, skydiving, hotel stays, ski lift tickets, gift baskets, and gift certificates up for grabs if you're the winner. The Carson High School Band Boosters will host the chili cook-off and offer concessions for purchase.
Chili Bingo Night is a popular annual tradition that supports a great cause. Families have the chance to come out for a fun and entertaining evening, and local businesses reach out to support Carson Middle School Band by donating exciting prizes, said Jacques.
